(a) was born: জন্মস্থান বা জন্মসাল উল্লেখ থাকলে 'was born' বসে।
(b) as soon as: একটি কাজ হওয়ার সাথে সাথেই আরেকটি কাজ হওয়া বোঝাতে এটি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(c) let alone: একটি ছোট কাজই অসম্ভব, বড় কাজ তো ভাবাই যায় না—এমন ক্ষেত্রে এটি বসে।
(d) would rather: দুটি কাজের মধ্যে একটিকে বেশি পছন্দ করা (বিশেষ করে 'than' থাকলে) বোঝাতে বসে।
(e) had better: কোনো কাজ করা ভালো বা উচিত—এমন পরামর্শ দিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
(f) has to: কোনো কাজের বাধ্যবাধকতা বা প্রয়োজনীয়তা বোঝাতে বসে (farmer থার্ড পারসন সিঙ্গুলার)।
(g) What's...like: কারো স্বভাব বা বৈশিষ্ট্য সম্পর্কে জানতে এই ফ্রেজটি বসে।
(h) It: 'ইন্ট্রোডাক্টরি ইট' হিসেবে বাক্যের শুরুতে বসে।
(i) there: অতীত সময়ের অস্তিত্ব বা কোনো স্থানের বর্ণনা দিতে 'there' বসে।
(j) what does...look like: কোনো কিছুর বাহ্যিক অবয়ব বা চেহারা সম্পর্কে জানতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
